You Terrorist? YOU TERRORIST HANDS UP!!

Yes, yes, today I was mistaken for a terrorist. I was drawing on the metro station, and well, apparently you're not allowed to, for security reasons.

I tried to explain that I'm trying a make a series of drawings, a metro journal, and so on, but that made them want to take me to the thana. So I let it go (for now). But here are some random quick drawings I've made in various stations across Delhi.

This is a colony surrounding the blue line of the metro, near Preet vihar. The train stopped here for a few minutes (due to "technical difficulties" I'm guessing.)

The above was a result of many halves and quarters of conversations that I overheard while changing trains, and a particularly disturbing incident where I was followed home.

A few seconds hastily snatched just as the metro was coming in ^

The above and below images are the Metro station that I was drawing at, when I was called by the guards for questioning.

In any case, the metro is really interesting to me, and I'm going to continue drawing it. Besides, there aren't enough details in my drawings to make a map, so I don;t think anyone should be worried much.

I thought it was very interesting as a social study as well, to hear the change in dialect as you travel from end of a metro line to another, to see the change in attire, to notice the change in subjects of discussion.

And hence, the Metro journal. I apologize for the quality of the images and the illustrations, a department I'm still working on, I'm trying to draw better. Time and practice should do it, I do believe.
